Our Mission
The Evansville Protestant Home is one of the few nursing homes in Evansville that offers both assisted living services and 24-hour comprehensive nursing care in the same facility. This allows apartment residents to receive around-the-clock care as needed and is invaluable to couples at the Home who have separate needs.
Today, we house over 70 residential apartments and more than 70 nursing beds. Much has changed over the years, but we remain rooted in the mission we were founded on — to care for our residents with compassion and dignity while focusing on their spiritual and physical wellbeing.
Our Story
The Evansville Protestant Home was founded in 1923 by the Women's Group at the United Church of Christ. These ladies felt a need in the community for a Home that would provide a Christian, home-like atmosphere for seniors where their happiness and well-being were foremost. The ladies' goal became a reality with the admission of the first resident in 1925. We have stayed true to their purpose in founding the Home and continue to focus on our residents' needs.
Serving All Faiths
Evansville Protestant Home may have built on a foundation of the Protestant faith, but over the years, we have welcomed all faiths and honor all religious preferences.
