Stay Connected With Relatives & Loved Ones

Moving a loved one into an assisted living facility represents a huge life change for all those involved. They will be meeting new people, adapting to a new routine, and getting used to a new living space. In-person visits give families the chance to be affectionate and serves as a reminder that you care about their well-being. Even after your loved one is settled in, routine visits help keep them connected to their biggest support systems. Your visit is a reminder of how much you care for them, especially as they transition into this new phase of life.

"When we brought mom to the Protestant Home, we were amazed. During our initial meeting, they discussed the services that would be offered to mom and all my sisters and I can say is 'They delivered!'. They have gone above and beyond our expectations."

Frequently Asked Questions

When can I visit?

You are welcome to visit 24 hours a day. However, we recommend visiting from 8 AM until 8 PM — after that time we lock our doors as most residents are asleep.

Can I stay the night?

Yes, family members of residents can reserve our overnight guest rooms for $45/night. The rooms are studio-size and must be reserved in advance. You must have a resident staying at Evansville Protestant Home to book rooms.

Can I bring in my loved one’s favorite food?

Consistent with the provision of special diets, always consult with the nursing staff before bringing food to residents. Any food kept in the resident room must be in properly sealed containers.

Can we bring a family pet to the facility?

We would love for your family pet to come visit. Please remember to clean up after them and take the proper safety measures at all times. All pets are to be kept on a leash and should have all current vaccinations.

Can we rent facilities/rooms for holidays and special events?

We have rooms that are available for families to reserve. Families should contact the Activities Department to verify available rooms. There is no charge for reserving rooms but donations are appreciated.

Can we send mail to our family members at the facility?

Mail is delivered to residents personally on a daily basis except for weekends and holidays. Please send mail to the following address:
